George G. Story is a Maritime Captain, Writer, Musician and Entertainer. Besides the many books and short stories he has written, he has been a short subject and feature contributor with many New England based magazines and newspapers. Recently he wrote, produced and directed an audio walking tour of the Gloucester, Massachusetts waterfront called the Gloucester HarborWalk. It has proved to be quite successful with both tourists and locals alike. He also loves to woodwork in his garage and is disheartened if he has not got a project going. He says working with his hands clears his head.
George likes writing in series, as can be found in the Vanessa’s Valley Series, the Hidden & Crestfield Mysteries, the We’re Here Series and the Voyage of the Scarlet Queen Series. Other shorts and novels of George’s can be easily found, as well.
Between George and Ann, they have five grown children; a Peabody, Massachusetts special needs teacher, a New Orleans based maritime captain (like his dad), a Long Island lawyer, a Portland, OR based Leadership and Learning Consultant and a Boston based civil engineer. Presently there are seven grandchildren in their lives, six girls and one boy.
George was born and raised in Beverly, Massachusetts, and now lives, and works within the seaside communities of Gloucester and Rockport, Massachusetts (Cape Ann). He has called Cape Ann home since 1976.
